Reason #328 Why I hate Windows
I’m scared everytime I have to reboot it.
If you are like me and have been using computers for several years, you probably have heard that it’s not good for the computer to cycle it (shut it down, and restart) very often. While this was probably true many years ago, it really makes no difference these days, save for one reason. You never know if it will actually start back up (if it’s Windows).
I hate cutting off my windows desktop. It seems like everytime I do, something silly goes wrong and it either takes 10 minutes (literally) to get to a state it’s in working order, or sometimes it just doesn’t boot and I’m left trying to figure out why. That is the case tonight. It was working fine one minute, then after installing some new software that required a reboot, it won’t boot up.
When I switched to Apple, I remember thinking several months in how productive I had become. I got to thinking about it and I realized I hadn’t had to spend any nights taking the thing apart to diagnose a problem.
Tonight I’m going to have to take the stupid windows machine apart and find out why it won’t boot instead of just chilling to some tunes and working on something productive.
