On the same day Kyle turned 21, my dad turned… older.
It has started becoming a tradition on my dad’s birthday for all of us boys to spend the day with him, in the cold, shucking a bushel of oysters. The tradition continued this weekend, but this time we moved it into the garage. We had a lot of fun just hanging out sharing in something dad loves. This year we added a new milestone, Bradley tried a raw oyster! Happy Birthday Dad!

My cousin Kyle turned 21 this weekend, and the family gathered in Auburn to help him celebrate. Continuing in Mama Nell’s tradition of giving each of us grandchildren $2,100 on our 21st birthday in an interesting manor …. we had a scavenger hunt!
Hidden around 21 locations in Auburn were various family and friends each with $100 and a clue to the next location. Mary and I rode with Kyle to video the whole ordeal and gave Mary quite the tour of Auburn, and our family’s history there. We had a great time and learned a lot about various family members who attended Auburn. So happy birthday Kyle, and War Eagle.

Gosh, I don’t remember eggs being that much of a problem before. (I guess I’m just blessed in that I’m able to, you know, do something basic without a ridiculous single-use gadget.) Thank God for this EZ Cracker!
